About the Role
W2 Position. On the job training provided for this position. No previous experience required.
Bathers will bathe and dry pets based on the services selected by clients. Job functions will include bathing, blow drying, brushing, gland expression, teeth brushing, teeth cleaning, ear cleaning, deshedding, assisting checking clients in and out, cleaning up dog poop and pee, cleaning and assisting coworkers when needed. Communication, honesty, and transparency with clients is very important to our salon image and are necessary to maintain the level of care we provide and trust our clients have in us. Bathing area should be kept clean between bathing, tools cleaned and ready for the next use. Safety risks should be promptly attended to. Follow all safety rules. Ask for assistance immediately if a pet demonstrates unusual stress. Tubs, holding cages and salon should be washed/disinfected and ready for the next day’s use before shift’s end. Performs other duties as assigned.

Schedule: Mon - Wed, Fri & Sat
Pay: Starting at $9 per hour. Performance evaluations with potential for raises at 3 months and 6 months.
Holidays Off: Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving weekend, 2 weeks off for Christmas at the end of the year
Additionally: You may bring your own pet to work with you at the discretion of the owner/manager. Pet must do well around other pets in a day care like atmosphere. Must be evaluated and approved by owner/manager. Owner/manager has the right to change this decision at their discretion.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
No prior experience necessary - on the job training provided
Comfortable handling and working with dogs of varying breeds and sizes
Employees must have the physical strength and ability to lift a pet or other object weighing up to 30 pounds without assistance. Must be able to assist in lifting pets or other objects weighing more than 30 pounds.
Necessary skills/knowledge: time management, teamwork, customer service, communication, following directions, knowing when to ask for assistance, consistency, promptness and cleanliness
No health issues that would impede the ability to perform the job functions
Required to be on your feet for extended periods of time while often lifting, twisting and bending.

Our Pet Stylists are titled as such because the main style in our salon is not shave downs, but more often styling the dogs cut to fit its body with guard comb cuts to the natural lay of the coat with fuller or column style legs.
